When was the last time you felt a sense of awe in nature? Experiencing awe is an example of nature’s power to capture our attention. Also known as forest therapy, forest bathing is the practice of immersing yourself in nature. It is a way of practicing self-care by taking time to slow down to experience the natural world. Awaken your senses through a series of guided invitations for interacting with nature. Research shows that slowing down in nature is restorative to our well-being by providing respite from the chronic over-stimulation of this world.
Join Serena Vogel, MA, Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide for two-hour guided forest therapy walks in Middle Shooks Run Park, on the first Sunday of each month beginning in May, 8:30am – 10:30am. No experience necessary. We will meet at the concrete patio and bench in the park.
